"The Sniper Code"
The best way to learn AI animation is by creating 1-minute concept videos.
It will level up your skills insanely fast.
Here's why👇
One of the biggest mistakes beginner AI creators make is trying to create a long-form animation (3–5 minutes or even longer) way too early.
It’s tempting to finally tell that story you’ve had in your head for years - especially once you discover how insanely fun AI animation is.
But jumping into a big project before mastering the technical side, pacing, and direction is usually a huge mistake.
Imagine spending 4 weeks making a 10-minute animation, burning through your hard-earned money on credits… only to realize barely anyone watched it till the end because the story was weak or the characters/scenes felt inconsistent due to lack of experience.
That feeling is brutally demotivating.
Instead, use a technique that helped me learn AI animation insanely fast - and eventually build a strong personal brand, community, and the Cartoon Hero course on top of it:
The “1-minute concept video” method.
Sit down, pick an idea, and create a short animation that’s no longer than 60 seconds.
Your goal is to make sure your animation:
1. Has no major technical issues
(no inconsistencies, broken pacing, awkward cuts, etc.)
2. Has a strong hook
(drop viewers straight into the action - no 15-second intros or black screens lol)
3. Has a clear scene progression
(each shot naturally builds into the next)
Once it’s done, post it on X.
Ignore the engagement on your first video. Just move on and make the second one. Then the third one.
Because after creating and posting just three 1-minute concept videos, you’ve already made massive progress:
1. You’ve practiced three different stories, characters, styles, and workflows instead of obsessing over one giant project.
2. You now have real audience feedback and see what resonates
(and trust me, even 13 likes vs 5 likes can tell you a LOT)
3. You improve way faster through repetition
(3 finished projects teach you more than 1 unfinished “masterpiece”)
This approach lets you fail fast, learn fast and turn you into an elite AI creator in the shortest time possible.
It’s also one of the best ways to grow an audience on X, because people here are much more likely to watch and engage with short videos than long ones they never finish watching (as X is not YouTube.)
Once you master this type of content, you won’t just become extremely good at AI animation - a ton of new opportunities will open up for you:
1. You’ll understand how the content game works and be able to build your own personal brand - become an industry voice.
2. You'll be able to start teaching others by building your own course and community.
3. You will be ready to launch your own IP - X becomes an insanely powerful launchpad once you’re skilled at AI animation and have an audience/network around you. You’ll instantly attract your first fans and attention of investors/sponsors willing to fund your project.
The recent anime short film by @aidenguoai and @PocketScreenAI is a great example!
And now let me teach you how this 1min anime concept video was created!
Step 1:
Start with a source image - I found mine on Midjourney.

Step 2:
Head to Seedance 2.0, upload the source image from above, and use the following prompt:
"The man standing on the roof with a rifle suddenly loads the gun and points it forward.
[cut] Aerial shot of the man standing on the roof and pointing the rifle forward.
[cut] Close-up shot of the man's face as he is pointing the rifle.
[cut] View from the rifle scope: a politician is giving a speech on stage: "If we choose each other over fear...", with police officers standing around and people and press gathered around the stage.
[cut] Different shots of the politician continuing to speak on stage: "...we choose each other over division. We can build a safer, stronger future for the city. We won't be intimidated, and we won't falter..."
No music."
Step 3:
Upload the video above as a reference to Seedance 2.0 and continue the story with the following prompt:
"Extend the video.
Close-up shot of the shooter focusing while looking through the rifle scope.
[cut] View from the scope: the politician is seen giving a speech on stage.
[cut] The politician continues giving the speech expressively: "We will win!"
[cut] Fast zoom into the shooter's face as he concentrates on the target.
[cut] Close-up shot of his finger on the trigger, slowly pulling it until a shot is heard.
[cut] View from the rifle scope - the politician gets shot while giving the speech.
[cut] Aerial shot - the politician falls on stage, people scream and start running, huge chaos erupts.
[cut] Close-up shot of the politician's frozen face as he lies on the stage.
[cut] Different shots of people, press, and police running.
No music."
Step 4:
Now continue by uploading the last video as a reference and using the prompt below:
"Extend the video.
The shooter throws down the rifle and runs as distant police voices echo through a loudspeaker.
[cut] Aerial shot of a huge crowd protesting in the streets of NYC.
[cut] Side shot of the shooter running across the roof.
[cut] The shooter climbs down the ladder.
[cut] Close-up shot of his feet as he jumps off the ladder and starts running.
[cut] People protesting in the street, shouting: "AI HAS NO SOUL" and holding posters saying: "STOP AI SLOP".
[cut] The shooter blends into the crowd.
[cut] Close-up shot of the shooter taking a baseball cap out of his pocket.
[cut] Front shot of the shooter walking with the protesters, putting on the baseball cap and starting to protest, shouting: "AI IS THE DEATH OF ART!"
No music."
Step 5:
Repeat the process and use the prompt below:
"Extend the video.
The shooter, protesting, suddenly looks up at the sky.
[cut] A police helicopter flies above the protesting crowd, speaking through a megaphone: "Attention, this is the police. There is a suspect in the crowd!"
[cut] Front shot of the shooter as he looks back as if someone is following him.
[cut] Back shot of police officers running through the crowd while people shout.
[cut] Different shots of the shooter running through the crowd, scared.
[cut] The shooter turns into an alley on the side.
[cut] Back shot of the shooter running through the alley. At the end of it, there is a street stretching horizontally where a black van suddenly stops, and the shooter gets in.
[cut] The shooter sits in the van and shouts: "GO! GO! GO!" then forcefully shuts the sliding door.
[cut] Different shots of the van speeding away, wheels spinning, smoke rising.
[cut] aerial shot of the van speeding through the street.
No music."
Step 6:
If you want to customize the final shot, grab a still frame of the van on the street and use Nano Banana to add a title directly onto the road.

Step 7:
Feed the new image to Seedance 2.0 and use the following prompt:
“The van speeds off super fast, with smoke trailing behind it.”
Step 8:
